Reliable for organic products

This was my third purchase from The Futon Shop; I previously got a futon frame and some organic pillows. This time I ordered an organic duvet cover. As usual, the quality was consistent with my past experiences – good stitching and the material feels nice. Shipping was pretty quick this time, arrived in 5 days to my surprise. I keep coming back because I trust their organic certifications and haven't had issues with product quality over the years. They're reliable.

Decent value on sofa bed

I was looking for a sofa bed that wouldn't break the bank and found a good deal here. The sofa bed was on sale, and I felt I got decent value for the price paid. It arrived in about a week. Assembly was manageable, though the instructions could have been clearer. For the money, it's a solid purchase for my small apartment.

Good mattress, delivery slow

I bought an organic cotton futon mattress for my guest room. The quality of the mattress is really good, feels firm but comfortable. It took about 10 days to arrive, which was a bit longer than I expected for a standard item. Customer service was helpful when I called about the shipping status, but tracking wasn't updated very often. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product, just wish shipping was a bit faster.

Anyone compared their futons to IKEA's? I'm trying to decide if the extra cost is worth it for The Futon Shop.

D Dan Walsh 2 months ago

Big difference. IKEA is cheap and cheerful, but The Futon Shop is usually way better quality, especially if you go for their organic stuff. It's more of an investment.

P Phil 2 months ago

I'd say if you want something that lasts and is actually comfortable, go with The Futon Shop. IKEA is fine for a guest room that barely gets used, but not for daily living.

Quick question on returns, what's the deal if I get a mattress and it just doesn't work out? Are they super strict or pretty chill about returns?

D Dan Vargas 2 months ago

Returns for mattresses can be tricky with any company, so you should probably check their specific mattress return policy. It's usually different from regular items.

C Chris Bennett 2 months ago

Yeah, mattresses usually have a more specific return window and conditions. Best to check the fine print on their site before you buy one.

Hey, thinking about grabbing one of their organic mattresses, but I live in Miami. Anyone know if they actually ship all the way out here and how long it usually takes?

D Daisy 2 months ago

Yeah, they ship nationwide. I got a frame from them last year, took about a week and a half to get to Seattle.

A Amber 2 months ago

They definitely ship everywhere in the US. For a mattress, it might be a bit longer than a frame, just because of size, but I think mine arrived within two weeks.

Does anyone know if their 'chemical-free' stuff is actually legit? Like, for real chemical-free, or just marketing speak?

T Tom Q. 2 months ago

From what I looked into, they seem pretty serious about it. They list all the materials and certifications on their site. It's not just a buzzword for them, they really go for the organic and natural fibers.

A Anna C. 2 months ago

i think it's for real, I've seen some of their descriptions and they get into the weeds about how it's made. Plus, a lot of their stuff is GOTS certified.

I saw they have a military discount. Does anyone know if that applies to everything or just specific items?

T Tara 2 months ago

I think those kinds of discounts usually apply across the board, but sometimes there are exclusions for already heavily discounted items or clearance stuff. Always worth trying it at checkout.

J June Y. 2 months ago

My buddy used his military discount on a mattress and it worked. So, probably everything that's not already on some crazy sale.
